David Beckham praises Steve McClaren
"David Beckham, England's soccer captain and Real Madrid striker, has hailed Steve McClaren as probably the best coach he has ever worked with." - Citizen
Steve McClaren assisted the previous team boss Sven-Goran Eriksson for five years and will now take over from the Swede after 2006 Soccer World Cup.
McClaren was not the first choice at all; Portugal's coach Luiz Felipe Scolari was widely guessed as the favourite - Beckham still however has given his full backing to the Middlesbrough man."
He is the best coach I have ever had and I have had some good ones over the years," he said. "If you asked any of the players he is one of the best, if not the best."
"It is good for the team it is over and done with now. It went on for a long time and now it has been resolved we can concentrate on other things," Beckham told Sky Sports.
